A system of registration and issuance of electronic entry visas has been launched in Uzbekistan (e-visa.gov.uz )
Since July 15, 2018, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 3836 dated July 4, 2018 "On further measures to optimize the procedure for entry of foreign citizens into the Republic of Uzbekistan", a system for registration and issuance of electronic entry visas for stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan has been introduced Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
This system, in accordance with the Regulations on the electronic Entry Visa of the Republic of Uzbekistan, provides for the abolition of the procedure for mandatory application of foreign citizens to diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad for obtaining an entry tourist visa.
An electronic visa is issued to a foreign citizen for a single stay in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of 30 days.
An electronic visa is valid for 90 days from the date of its issuance.
The deadline for consideration of an application for registration and issuance of an electronic visa is two working days, excluding the day of submission of the application.
The issued electronic visa is sent to the e-mail address of the foreign citizen specified when submitting an application to the official web portal of the system "e-visa.gov.uz ".
The application for an electronic visa is submitted at least three working days before the scheduled date of the trip to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The amount of the consular fee for consideration of an application for an electronic entry visa is 20 US dollars.
Payment is made electronically via international payment systems.
In case of refusal to issue an electronic visa, the amount of the consular fee is non-refundable.
The electronic visa is not pasted into the travel document (passport). When passing through the border checkpoint, a foreign citizen provides an electronic visa in paper or electronic form.
To obtain a visa, the following documents are submitted to the Consulate General:
- A completed and signed visa application form. (to be filled in on the website: visa.mfa.uz );
- the telex number (Telex) that was received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- one passport-sized photo glued to the application form;
- a copy of the passport (only the cover page of the passport with personal data and photo);
- the original passport (the passport must be in good condition, not torn or damaged and have at least one blank page for affixing a visa, it must have at least a three-month validity period from the moment of entry into the territory of Uzbekistan;
- Receipt of payment (the receipt itself is issued at the Consulate General)
- A passport with a ready-made visa can be picked up the NEXT DAY
