Presidents of Uzbekistan and Korea Discuss Further Development of Multifaceted Cooperation
On November 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol held a telephone conversation.
They discussed current issues of further development of Uzbek-South Korean friendly relations, special strategic partnership and expansion of multidimensional cooperation.
A special emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the leaders of the two countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September this year.
The importance of continuing active contacts and exchanges in various formats of interaction was underlined.
The interest in accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects between leading companies and the formation of a new partnership programme with banking and financial institutions of South Korea was confirmed.
It was agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee by the end of this year.
The Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea also discussed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
